HOW WE MAKE YOUR FLEAS FLEE
If you've got fleas, Axiom Eco-Pest Control can definitely help with our flea service, a stand alone service in addition to your quarterly service. The Axiom flea service is a one-time targeted treatment that takes approximately 30 minutes to an hour to complete and requires you to leave your home for 4 hours, to ensure the product dries properly and is not disturbed. The service comes with a 90-day warranty to ensure you're flea-free after our treatment.
To ensure this treatment is successful and we get all your fleas treated, we really need your help prior to and following the service:
PREPARE FOR YOUR TREATMENT
Remove all personal items from the floor, such as clothing, toys and newspapers
Vacuum all carpets and upholstered furniture. Immediately remove the bag from the vacuum and dispose of it outside the home. If you have a bagless vacuum, rinse the inside dispenser.
Wash all pet bedding, clothes, fabric toys, etc. that come in contact with pets. Tumble non-washable items in a hot dryer for a minimum of 20 minutes.
Remove the dryer lint and dispose of it
immediately outside the house.
DURING TREATMENT
During treatment, you'll need to vacate your home while we treat and for 4 hours after the service, while the treatment dries. Our service will treat all areas where fleas would harbor. We'll use a product specifically designed for flea control and will treat every room of the house as well as the exterior of the home. Once completed, we'll lock up.
While you're gone, take your pet to its vet or groomer to be treated with an effective flea medication. This will prevent fleas from re-infesting after treatment. Pets should be treated prior to returning to the home.
Following treatment you'll want to thoroughly vacuum daily, if not several times each day. The vibrations from vacuuming help stimulate the pupa to hatch. Although there will be a great reduction immediately following treatment, activity may persist for 3 to 4 weeks afterward, as possible remaining fleas hatch and die. If there is remaining activity after 3 weeks, please call us to determine whether you'll need an additional treatment.
